Leaders of departments such as the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of External Affairs, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labour-Invalids and Social Affairs, Trade and Investment Promotion Center, Antesco and Angimex–Kitoku Company also attended the meeting.
After the brief introduction about An Giang and information of the projects calling for investment given by the leader of the Department of Planning and Investment, the two sides exchanged information on the population of working age, the import and export of goods, infrastructure, power supply, water and ground transportation systems. JETRO representative found more about the industrial zones, the provincial priority policies for investors. The delegation was also interested in the impact of the TPP for the production, import and export of agricultural goods, textile and footwear.
Ending the meeting, Vice Chairman of An Giang People’s Committee Le Van Nung thanked JETRO delegation for visiting and working with the province. At the same time, he also proposed JETRO help to build connections, call for Japanese businesses and investors to invest in An Giang province.
