In 2018, Investment Promotion Conference was organized in An Giang province with chair of the Prime Minister of Viet Nam, along with attendance by more than 500 delegates who are leaders of central and local, business associations. international organizations, investors and businesses. The conference was attracted about VND 130,000 billion of investment capital into 40 key projects to accelerate the growth rate and contribute to socio-economic development, improve people's life.

The working group consists of: Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (leader), Vice-Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and members: Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office (permanent group), Director of Department of Planning and Investment (in charge of investment), Director of Department of Construction (in charge of planning - construction), Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment (in charge of land and environment), Chief of Economic zones authority (in charge of promoting investment in industrial parks and border-gate economic zones), Director of Trade and Investment Promotion Center (in charge of investment promotion), People's Committee of districts, towns and cities...

The working group coordinates and assigns specific and clear tasks to Departments, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and related units according to the functions and tasks assigned. advises and supports investors to complete investment procedures and implement for projects that have been granted decision of investment policy and projects or project proposals have been signed with MOU; Promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementation of investment procedures and projects; To be entitled to requisition officers, material facilities and means of specialized agencies and attached units to carry out tasks.

According to a Decision No. 237/QD-UBND, the Working Group develop the overall plan and process for implementing projects and project proposals. At the same time, request leader of departments has creative making, actively coordinate and support investors in the process of completing investment procedures and implementing projects. To create all favorable conditions and opportunities for other investors who have enough potential to access and implement projects in the local.
